Tik-Tok, don't watch the clock
Our time is near, he sneaks outside, round the block
Tik-Tok, don't watch the clock
Before you can scream you are caught in a deadlock
Desolated, my heart is burning out
Does anyone know what this is all about
Times are changing and nights are taking my breath away
Sometimes I get nostalgic, realizing how much we've left behind
And I'm breaking out
Did you ever know how it feels to be so helpless
When you lose something
And faith has tied your hands to prevent you
From trying to move on
Tik-Tok, don't watch the clock
Before you can scream you are caught in a deadlock
Helpless, it's not that I am alone
It's the fact that her name will be carved on a stone
How much would everyone pay
To keep control about their live all day
How much must be done to understand
That nothing is for granted
Except that everything ends
Did you ever know how it feels to be so helpless
When you lose something
And faith has tied your hands to prevent you
From trying
If I could I'd go
To cross every horizon
Just to get to you
When you will be gone
I am so fucking helpless
We're all helpless, so we must learn to let go
We are all helpless, we have all lost controll
We are all helpless, so we must learn to let go

Impressive and immense sound, fused with and inspired by Finnish ancestral roots. UKKO hits hard but also has a heart beating beneath. Albums like this don't get made often; this one will live on as a timeless example of how a talented band move forward while refining their skills, exploring new musical horizons, and writing music with true meaning to each of the musicians involved. camelchild
Scalding metalcore from Spain, “Where the Waves Are Born” swings from clean to growled vocals over blindingly intricate fretwork. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 19, 2023
Supplementing sasscore insanity with bolstered vocals and pop-punk songcraft, the California band are kicking ass and breaking boundaries. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 21, 2024

The Hirsch Effekt! For Solitaer, every band member wrote a song on their own - and albeit the results are all excellent, the differences are tremendous. While Nares grinds one to dust like a Challenger 2 tank, Palingenesis is a furious frenzy with a delicious riff shredding everything in its path (Ilja, sure) - and mending the wounds with a grandiose chorus. Amorphous feels like my schizophrenic cousin clobbering me with a sewer pipe again. Gregær is the perfection it already was, but heavy. David Fischer
