When we were writing for the new album, we slowly but surely realized that we needed something new in our music. Moving on without moving out of the comfort zone of the last 10 years would have been like a prison for us. With Reign, we tried something completely new stylistically and felt that we had created something unique. The song embodies good vibes, self-acceptance and new courage.
lyrics
You got to smile
You got to cry
You got to follow
You got to push
You got to move
You do what they told
You live a life
In cage
In rage
In hell
With yourself
You can't deny
It eats
You up
From the inside
We got to stop to
fake it, play it, break it
This is all yours, go get your live
And take it
Shine your light on me
Peak from the darkside
Leaving your disguise behind
Shine your light today
Paying your own mind
take on the reigns, the reigns and
Reign
Know deep inside
It's do or die
There's no tomorrow
This live's a lie
You can't deny
Your time is borrowed
Turn off the live
In cage
In rage
In hell
With yourself
There's no home in this place
People acting okay
And pay the price to be
Someone they'd be hating
We got to stop to
fake it, play it, break it
This is all yours, go get your live
And take it
Shine your light on me
Peak from the darkside
Leaving your disguise behind
Shine your light today
Paying your own mind
take on the reins, the reins and
Reign
The earth is a playground
For scorn and contempt
Millions of posts
Multiplying the hate
Who do you think
Is living freedom today
It's not about where you come from
It is where you go
And how you walk this road
When you are not alone
There ain't no misconceptions
Either you're human or not
Everything else is ridiculous
give the world what you've got
Shine your light on me
Peak from the darkside
Leaving your disguise behind
Shine your light today
Paying your own mind
take on the reins, the reins and
Reign
